Korrē - Barocco [TE0196]

Korrē is a Haitian-Puerto Rican sound and visual artist whose work spans composition for record labels, film, commercials, and other media. A native of New York City, he currently lives and works in Brooklyn.

When Korrē brought me in to collaborate on the artwork for his EP Barocco [TE0196], released through Diffuse Reality Records, the brief was clear in feel if not in form: textured, visually compelling, and true to the evolving aesthetic of his catalog. Silver and concrete surfaced early as the right materials — cold, tactile, and suggestive of something shifting.

From there I curated imagery and developed multiple concepts, letting the EP's rich, dark ambient tones guide the direction. The final design leaned into a stark, almost severe aesthetic — and that contrast felt exactly right. Sometimes the coldest visual is the warmest match for the sound.
